About editing
One thing I’d like to clarify is that I really enjoy editing photos—almost as much as taking them! Editing allows me to get the most out of my equipment and express my personal perspective on each shot. All the photos on this site are edited to some degree using Adobe Lightroom. While I understand that people have different preferences and views on what counts as the 'right amount' of editing versus 'cheating,' I believe in editing to match my creative vision—after all, it’s my site, and it hurts no one.

About desert
Most of the photos were taken in the deserts of southern Israel. Deserts have an incredible quality: they seem barren, yet are full of life—hence the name of the site, Wild Nothing. This particular photo of my wife, taken in the upper part of Wadi Neqarot near Mitzpe Ramon, is one of the very few landscape photos I’m proud of.
About Arava
This is without a doubt one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken. It was captured in Wadi Shahak, located in the middle of the Arava. The Arava is a valley on the border between Israel and Jordan, connecting the Dead Sea and the Red Sea, and separating the Asian and African tectonic plates. I spent nearly three years living there, and it’s a place I probably romanticize the most. That’s why I love this photo so much: it’s a truly romantic portrait of the desert—morning haze, gazelles walking slowly, and the Edom Mountains in the background. I used to watch this scene many times, and capturing it in this moment instantly made it one of my favorites.
